PRN is proud of our history
As staff members of a busy Level III NICU (neonatal intensive care unit), we were among the first to feel the effect of the healthcare personnel shortage of the l990s. The shortage had occurred for a number of reasons: healthcare professionals were cutting back their hours, fewer people were choosing healthcare as a profession, and – directly affecting us – many hospitals had stopped training programs for specialized areas, NICU among them. We had to start relying on outside agencies to fill our staffing needs.
Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that many of the temporary staff sent to serve our facility simply weren’t qualified to perform at the level we demanded.
We realized three things:
1) There was a critical need for qualified nurses & RCPs in the area of NICU
2) The training our facility provided made us among the most qualified nurses & RCPs in the greater Los Angeles area.
3) We were not alone—other hospitals in the area were also being underserved by outside staffing agencies and needed a solution.
As a result, we founded PRN Registry, Inc. in 2003.
We began contracting with local hospitals including Garfield Medical Center, San Gabriel Valley Medical Center, and Glendale Memorial Medical Center. These days, we serve healthcare facility clients located throughout the greater Los Angeles area, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties.
We have a hard-earned reputation for providing high quality staff in a timely fashion, and are proud to have maintained wonderful, long-term relationships with both our staff and the facilities we serve together.
We believe that a company run by executives with medical backgrounds has an edge on understanding what makes a good staff/employee. From this unique perspective, we are able to provide what hospitals and other facilities need from healthcare staff in order to succeed, while advancing individual careers.
PRN Registry, Inc. is proud to be Joint Commission Certified.
